Cornflour works well believe it or not.
You just rub it into the coat and then brush out again.
The cornflour grabs onto dirt particles or any damp spots and then when you brush it out all the dirt and damp comes out with it.
I had a Shih Tzu in show coat and I used it quite often on the hair under her eyes, kept her eyes stain free.
Also works great on their back legs if they get wet while urinating or on damp grass. Can i apply talcum powder on a shih tzu dog?
Please don't. Shih-Tzu's have very delicate respiratory systems and are prone to allergic reactions from external stimuli as well as foods. You can buy special sprays for you puppy or ';doggie wipes'; that are safe for your dog and will keep them smelling nice until they can have a bath. Can i apply talcum powder on a shih tzu dog?
The only time I ever use talcum powder on my dog is when I'm clipping them and I accidently give them clipper rash (this has only happened once). It also works well to get rid of tear stains when mixed with boric powder and milk of magnesia. I use this all the time on my Bolognese.
No do not use talcum powder on the puppy or any dog. You can buy proper dog sprays. They last a long time.
Please don't..... but WHY? what are you trying to solve by putting talcm powder on your dog?
why exactly do you want too?
