Does talcum powder really help with greasy hair?

I've read that if you put talcum powder in your hair for a few minutes, it get rids of the grease.

Yeah, it can dry out hair. Leave it in for a few minutes, about two or three, then wash it out. If that doesn't help the grease, then get some grease fighting shampoo. I've heard Nioxin makes good anti-grease shampoo, so check it out if you see it at your local drugstore, like CVS or something.Does talcum powder really help with greasy hair?
yes i works but it works better on blonde hair, turns dark hair grey(but not permenantly obv) go to a pharmacist and look for batiste dry shampoo, its an aerosol which you spray on the roots of ypur hair, brush from root to tip and it feels like you have just washed it.

that's if you don't have time to wash your hair you can it will control the greasiness and help dry out your hair just a bit but don't put too much in bc you will end up with white hair and be very noticeable. that night or next morning just wash it out.
it absorbs the grease off of ur hair so it looks cleaner it's gd if ur in a rush and don't have time to wash it u just rub it in to ur hair and leave it on but it doesn't work so well if ur hair is desperate for a wash
ye if your in a hurry put some in wait a couple of mins and then brush it out but dry shampoo works really well you can get it in home bargins and boots and sometimes superdrug good luck xx

Nope, not true. If your hair is blonde it just helps to hide the grease.
